Yesterday, I took a trip out to Ajacuba, a small town in the state of Hidalgo, a few hours north of Mexico City. The purpose of the trip was to help a friend gather samples of the local lizard population, work needed for her Ph.D. proposal. Of course, I can’t catch lizards worth a peso, so I didn’t do much other than catch a glimpse of this crazidelic grasshopper:
I wish I had more info or a story to go along with this guy, but unfortunately, I don’t. So, instead, I’ve included a few extra pictures just in case you’re curious about rural México. I’m sure I’ll have more to say after a few more trips. Well, not bad for a day’s work!
